Are you a religious school?

Far Horizons is non-sectarian and not affiliated or a part of any church or religion. We have students from a range of religious beliefs and ethnicities enrolled and we believe in an environment of cultural respect and sensitivity.

Do you offer before and after school programs?

Yes. We have before and after school programs—we call it childcare—are available to students of all ages who are enrolled at Far Horizons. We also offer childcare for most holidays and breaks. Note, childcare is not included in tuition and billed separately.

Are parents required to volunteer?

Yes. We require a parent or guardian of each enrolled student to volunteer ten hours per school year. Volunteering can take on many forms, including office help, yard work and gardening, specialized lessons, and more.

Do you offer music?

Yes. We have parent volunteers who provide music education for our students, usually working toward a season concert that includes songs and some instruments. Upper Elementary students are given the opportunity to study basic music with the recorder.

The thing I love about Far Horizons is they are responsive to parent suggestions and requests, and they implement ideas they find to be helpful.
